Amid fears of possible revival of terrorist group, the Pivithuru Hela Urumaya (PHU) on Mon urged the government to supply former President Mahinda Rajapaksa with the protection that was allotted for him within the initial place.

PHU leader Udaya Gammanpila expressed this view whereas speaking to reporters at a conference control in capital of Sri Lanka. “What about Mahinda Rajapaksa, if M. A. Sumanthiran faces death threats though he backs a federal answer,” Gammanpila added.

He pointed out that the protection of Rajapaksa should be intense because of his role in eliminating LTTE’s ‘Eelam dream’. “We always had the read that the terrorist group has been revived. Even the government intelligence too suggested a similar,” he said. Gammanpila also went on to say it had been kind of like language “let the tigers eat you”, when the government meant to interchange Rajapaksa’s security.
